D-Day was a major turning point in WWII. France need their land back and the reason they lost their land is because in 1940, Adolf Hitler led Germans in an invasion into France and took their land. There were more than 2,000 deaths between Americans and British forces on this one day!

Some were opposed to the American and Britain counter attack, one french men said, “We are dying for no reason. Americans can't even shoot straight. I never thought I'd say this, but life was better under Adolph Hitler.”
